    Default Winter Creek

A winter creek located about a kilometer down the road from my home. On the day I photographed this scene we were getting our first significant snow fall of the season. By the end of the day we had 15 inches of snow on the ground. I the newly forming ice was more slush-like but was taking on an interesting pattern as it began to freeze.

Looking forward to comments and suggestions.

Nice winter scene. Looks cold, but inviting.

    Hi Andrew

I do like the patterns in the pond are reflecting (I know its not a reflection..) the shape of the tree. The image makes me feel like i am in cold and bleak conditions and helped by the white streaks.. Its been a long time since I have been in this environment.

I like the composition and the streaks in the ice really make it look cold. I am wondering if the trees in the background have a blue cast?
