    Default Top of the Giant

Last September I traveled along the north shore of Lake Superior with my main goal of hiking to the "Top of the Giant" in Ontario's Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Here is the view from the "Top of the Giant" over looking Lake Superior. The trail to the top is the toughest trail I have ever hiked. I was able to ride my bike in the first 6 kilometers, but the remaining 5 kilometers was on foot which included roughly 1 kilometer of near vertical ascent. From the vantage point in this image I am standing 950 meters above Lake Superior. I had a mix of sun and cloud while at the top so I was able to capture several various compositions of these immense cliffs. I also enjoyed viewing several juvenile Bald Eagles as they soared above the trees below the cliffs.

Beautiful and unique view of the lake. Well worth the hike (easy for me to say).

Nicely framed and a cool perspective here! Looks really wild and unspoilt.
I would imagine you can capture some stunning sunrise/sunset shots if you could make the hike safely in the dark?

    Hi Andrew,

What a great view...! I think the contrast could be pushed up just a little..

Very nice indeed Andrew my only suggestion would be to consider a little Dehaze filter at raw conversion on the distant horizon.
