    Default Green-winged Teal

Went out scouting for ducks last Saturday for our upcoming workshop. We just got our first winter storm of the season so they are just starting to show up now. We had many good flight opportunities and this was my favorite frame of the morning. These Teal's scapular feathers really light up when they bank just right in the sun. Hope you like it.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

Another stunner, David. The head swoosh and scapulars light up like neon.

The DIF master strikes again. Just amazing. Sharpness, pose, details, colors all top notch. Gives something for the rest of us mortals to aspire for.

Can't add anything to the accolades already David. Those colours on the far wing just add the extra touch of magic.

Everything about this is excellent - wing position showing off the iridescent colours, the feather detail, the head profile, panning....

    Love it.
Tack sharp and beautifully lit up greens.
I would like a bit more room in front of bird,

Soon as I saw the thumbnail I thought this would be something special, and it is. Absolutely super David - well done. I cannot fault it, colours focus detail background - all top notch.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the nice comments.

Gail, I had it as a 2X3 with a bit more room in the front but it looked like to much dead space in front so I chopped a bit of of it at the last second.

Hi David, the teal color of the wings goes so well with the BG. Tack sharp as usual. Loi

Hi Dave, a bit late to your party again, but couldnt help but to comment on this fantastic image. Great banking angle showing off the variety of colours, and you certainly nailed the overall sharpness. Killer BG to round the image off. Well captured.
