    Superb shot, Jon! The BG complements the bird really well. Blue and brown of course. Having a little bit of the land on the LR corner gives a lot of context to the image.

    The position and posture of the bird made me chuckle. I can't figure out if he is landing or taking off. Wing position and leg position add much to the image. Thank you for sharing, Jonathan.

    I like the awkward pose, sharpness, bit of land and blue BG makes the Gannet stand out nicely. Well done Jonathan.

    Thanks very much everyone I was on the cliff top and as I was walking I spotted this young gannet coming in to land. I had the 500 mm on so no time to add a TC I got a few sharp images and most show an ungainly pose. It was almost as if he came to land and had second thoughts it was quite comical at the time.
