Just a nice moment when this young (blood stained) Polar Bear just came up and then just rested close by. I've tried to retain the subtlety of the detail within the pack ice as often it can be lost.

Thanks to those who viewed or posted a comment on the previous thread.

Love this image, you have humanized a Polar Bear. Beautiful rendering of the fur and ice. Thank you for sharing, Steve.

This image just screams professional !! The detail, exposure, crop etc could only be achieved after many many years of practice. Being an 'African image guy' I haven't viewed too many wildlife images from other continents and the ones I have haven't really grabbed me or given me that 'I just want to go there NOW' feeling however this does just that !!

Hi Steve - The eye contact and detail here is incredible. I love the visible claws too. The blood adds just enough color to draw interest. Nice job on the exp.

A wonderful shot, Steve. A sensitive image yet conveys the realities of life in the wild.

Hi Steve you created a very fine image with the not ideal POV from the height of a boat .
All works together ... the dreamy look up to the viewer ..and the perfect technical aspects .
    Stunning IQ as always !!!!
    To sum it up .....

    TFS Andreas

After a third look .... ... just asking if the nostrils , eye lids and the gums are not a bit more on the black side in real life ?

Steve - top notch image great exposure and detail, I really like the colour rendition how many "shades" of white are there - well done.

Late to this one Steve, but a real cracker it is!
The bloodied snout really takes it to another level graphically and artistically...
