Song Sparrow

Photographed this Song Sparrow late this fall at Fort Wadsworth on Staten Island, New York. Typically I try for clean backgrounds but I like the subtle background on this shot and the hint of foliage.

Canon 7dii with Canon 500 f4 ii and Canon 1.4x iii. Tripod mounted. ISO 640, F9, SS 1/1600

Converted in DPP 4. In PS I added some canvas all around, sharpened and applied NR to background. Also cloned out a small twig that was sticking up on the bottom left.

I like the pose, HA, IQ and composition. BG gives a nice sense of depth. I wish the wing wasn't drooping down but that's being picky. Very well done Isaac.
