Another frame from Donna Nook this year. 4 seals had strayed away from the traditional viewing area, so whilst the area was still fenced off for protection, this one was opposite a little gulley with a 'lens-wide' gap in the railings, helping me get a little lower. Given the location, she didn't appear as used to people as some of the others, so gave me a little curious look, before settling down for yet more sleep.

Mike I think this is very nice indeed. The tonal range is well rendered the eye contact is "delicious" a few water droplets on her whiskers and a vice background to boot. Well done!

Hi Mike - This works extremely well on all counts for me. Nice detail and low pov. Colors look good. The eye contact is great. Well done.

Hi Mike, nice image with some good detail. I just think that left eye as viewed has been lifted, I would expect a bit more 'in shadow' if the light is from the right? I might just pull back the highlights a fraction.

Great eye contact Mike with excellent detail garnered in the wet fur and whiskers.

Mike this looks excellent to me,do like the different textures in the fur being wet and almost dry and those lovely eyes.

Hi Mike a very fine simple portrait that works very well . You did well with shooting angle having the limitations of Donna in mind .
Lovely color rendering and the detail is sooooo good .Just think the blacks are tiny bit too strong in the neck area ( dark big blob)
This looks very nicely processed with a great IQ , very fine job !!!!!

The wet fur and the pleading look really make this one pop out of the screen.
Well done on this one, Mike!
