    Default ruddy turnstone puffed

A little puff in feathers after preening... I would have liked to place the bird to the right however, there was an intersecting rock with a pile of seaweed that would have been not so complimentary.

Wow, he is so gorgeous. I know what you mean about the positioning, Ann. But I love how the green and orange feet contrast each other in this picture!

A super shot, Ann. I love the puffed up look, and the breeding plumage of the Turnstone. He is nicely placed between the seaweed perch and the oof background. I agree with the self-critique, but not much you can do about it. I suppose a crop from the right would reposition him, but would give you an uncomfortable aspect ratio. A fine image as presented.

Great colors and wonderful detail. I would also like to see slightly different placement but it sounds like you did the best with what you had to work with.

    Hi Ann,

Just a great image. You have exceptional light and I like his pose. Very nice feather detail on this beautiful turnstone. Love the seaweed covered rocks.
