This is a small in the frame image of the Western Grebes doing their courting ritual. Overcast morning and the sun was behind a hill.
Nikon D500 + Tamron 150-600 at 600mm, f/6.3, ISO 1600, 1/1600. Raw conversion on LR and then used luminosity mask to work on the hot spots on the chest.
Adhika, one of the most amazing things you can see in person are grebes rushing, you can here their calls and the splashing of water from quite a distance.
You did well with the conditions presented you.
Adhika, you captured their amazing ritual! and although it is a distance, the pair is displayed beautifully. I am in pursuit of a good place to photograph western and clarks grebes this Spring, any suggestions... TFS
