    Default Rufous Naped Lark

I took a drive around the nature reserve close to my house last weekend, and came across this Rufous Naped Lark in a calling pose. These birds are not skittish, so I stopped my car alongside this perch, turned my engine off and managed to capture all sorts of poses. Its not all the time I come away with a thin perch, so Im taking this one all the way to the bank. Taken early morning with a perfect BG.

Terrific singing pose, with raised crest (was he angry at you or is this his normal hairdo?). Beautifully coordinated color palette.

Beautiful bird, pose and background. Like the head turn as well. I would clone out the vertical stick below the tail and also the 3 small sticks that jut into body and that cut across the legs. Just think it would look cleaner that way.

Thanks Isaac. Yes, I was aware of all the branches you mentioned, and decided to leave the whole perch intact.
