Hi folks a last one before i go back to Helgoland for a hopefully successful week in terms of photographing my beloved Seals .
What i have heard , already 250 pups has been born in this season .So it does look promising .....will see.
This Bull was photographed in Jan 2016 , i went for HK as light was very bright but filtered through some fog .
As i do shoot ETTR an easy task , just go even brighter in post and keep the contrast low .Hope you like it .

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4TC
    Tripod

    f 5,6 ; Iso 3200 ; 1/2000 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC 2017 ; slight crop for comp and some darker stone removal in FG .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting .

    Cheers Andreas

Nice low angle and detail here, Andreas. I think you can push back some contrast and blacks without losing the higher-key feel? It's hard for my brain to figure out if he's keeping his tail in the air or if there's land behind him at this exposure?
    Enjoy your trip back!

Really love it, great perspective, good detail, excellent DoF, nicely executed Andreas.

Just a thought, how about making the FG just a hint darker????

Hi Andreas - The high key treatment works really well on this. Great low pov and detail. If it were mine I would reduce the cyans and blues on the seal. Overall, nice one.

Hi Andreas -- Very nicely done ! Liked the low angle and the Hk treatment just works so well here , a slight more contrast to the whole image for my liking , but not a deal breaker .

All the very best for your trip , Happy Sealing !

    TFS !

Well focused and sharp, the much reduced contrast doesn't really do it for me I am sorry to say, the pic could do with a little more punch for my taste.

Whilst I like the low angle and the pose, I'm afraid the high key look doesn't work for me on this shot. I think there are too many dark tones in the shot for the effect to work, and it looks more overexposed than a deliberate effect.

I had a little play and tried it as a 'regular' shot and for me, it works a lot better.
