    When this Great Egret took off toward me, just before sunset at Chincoteague, I had no choice but to clip wings and legs. But I thought it made for an interesting perspective.

    D500, 500f4 + 1.4 TC, ISO 1600, 1/2500s @ f/8 manual.

    Beautiful! Golden light and sharpness makes up for any so called shortfalls ;)

    Beautiful light, Bill.
    Sometimes I think heavy cropping is just as effective as seeing the full monty and this is one of those cases. But I wonder what it would look like cropping harder on the right and bottom - it could becomes almost geometric and add another dimension.

    Yes I see the idea Bill and it works for me, lovely light and you really have captured some fine details there - well done.

    (Satish you have my sympathy I tried that App and I couldn't wait to get rid of it - just couldn't get on with it)

    Hi Bill, sweet, sweet light, and overall well exposed for what we can see in the frame. Nice and sharp on the head, and I do like the feather detail on the near wing.
