While photographing several male Snow Buntings, in Iceland in July of this year, at least two females arrived which I had never seen before. Always a treat to see a lifer. C&C welcome.

We don't see the female's often in photos either! She looks rather good, and the rock perch is nicely decorated. Good separation from the BG. A better head turn would have been super. I could also see a version with less below and more at right.

I remember seeing this bird at a distance, and wondered if it was some unidentified sparrow. Good work with the ID and the capture. I like the lichen on the rock. I had the same reaction as Daniel, a bit of head turn and a bit off the bottom would boost it.

Nice capture and I like the colorful rock and Daniel covered the critique well. Well done

Thanks Daniel. I had the same inclination originally as you and Bill re the cropping. I thought there might be too much lichen if cropped this way, but maybe not. WDYT?

Hi Geoffrey, I like the repost, lovely looking colours throughout and the lichen adds to the image
