    Default Kestrel feather view

This was taken with David Salem in Socal 3 weeks ago. Haven't taken out the odd tail feathers but I suppose they could come out.

Ian, nice feather detail and BG to bad about the HA though, looks like the truck blind worked well.

Awesome wing position and terrific background. A better head turn our way would have been too good to be true.

Seeing such a beautiful, well-detailed dorsal view is a pleasant change, and for me it makes up for the HA. I'd be happy to have this in my files.

Thanks all ,I sent it because I thought she might be on the edge for HA. These kestrels have a sort of sheen on their backs which I don't like quite so much on an otherwise beautiful bird so I knocked it down a bit. Acceptable?
    Thanks. Ian

Hey Ian, I like the landing pose you caught her in and the colors and details look fantastic. Love the BG too. Yes the HA could have been better but it still it's nice that we can see her head well and there is even a catch light in her eye. Nice dorsal view and the sheen on the back looks good now. Barely notice it.
Well done and Looking forward to more.
