Hi Bryan - I like the way the light is hitting the eye. The monochrome works though I might go for a bit more punch if it were mine. Is this a crop? Any more room around?

And it does look good, I like the crop, tight but just enough space around the face

Agree with Rachel, the light/glint on the eye is great, and nice low menacing angle.
I too can see it with a bit more contrast?

thanks, I actually lowered the contrast for the post as there were a few comments about burnt out highlights in previous posts, this version is more to my personal taste:

Hi Bryan, for me I feel the OP has a better tonal range, albeit I'm away at present. I also think there is not much tonal separation between the subject & the environment. A fraction lower so you are almost at eye level would have made all the difference as you still have this feeling of shooting down at an age, pulling back would have helped as you had plenty of zoom. I find the crop a fraction too tight, inclusion of more of the paws with some ground would be far better. Gain a hint more ISO i.e. 800 would have also helped the SS unless this was on a fixed Gimbal, it really does help when HH.

    TFS
    Steve
