    Default Soulful eyes

    Attached Images Attached Images

7.30am and a young male leopard stares down my lens giving me those soulful eyes. Making the most of the dappled light and BG blue sky lights.
He had just killed a very special prey item and all will be revealed in a future post.
Being ultra picky, I would have preferred not to have the sausage tree/trunk BG, but this is their natural home.

Marc - This looks very good and those eyes are captivating. I think I saw a shot with the prey posted somewhere.

The leopard looks absolutely beautiful, I appreciate the natural background but I am not crazy about the bright blue blobs of sky. Perhaps consider desaturation and or contrast in the background??

Hi Marc you did well with the lighting .
Great subject and the pose / head angle is looking very interesting .
I am not sure about the overall color .... for my taste the blues and yellows are a tad too strong , of course personal taste , and not a big deal .
I do also think i might open up the subject a tiny bit in the 1/2 tone to shadow area , again a personal view .

Very nice and i wait for the prey shot ....

Lovely dappled light and colour tones here. Captivating eyes!
Could make a nice monochrome too with the bokeh?

Hi Marc, love the slanting head and eye contact, and you have achieved good DOF on the head. Im fine with the tree trunk BG.

beautiful! I would love to see the face lighter, I know many people dont like blown out highlights but I would be fine with the face being stronger lit at the mercy of some other areas.
    great capture

Hi Marc -- Lovely portrait and nice eye contact ! Nice details and sharpness as well , i too would bring down the saturation in the blues and yellows a bit , but overall a fine image .

Excited to see the images with the kill .

    TFS !
