Hello everyone ! Thank you for your C&C's on my previous post , much appreciated .
Posting a Tiger image after a while here on BPN. As the title suggests this was the iconic male Tiger ( JAI ) of Umber Karhandla ( UK ) , who sired 11 cubs in his short reign and then went missing since the month of April 2016. He was radio collared at that time and then released and never seen again . This image was taken much before the department decided to collar him and I guess things were healthy until that point of time . I am not against the radio collaring concept but in this case this particular tiger lost a lot of weight after radio collaring and also moved out of its territory. He didn't faced any challenge from other Male's during that period, it is still a mystery as to where he disappeared. Sadly people have stayed away from this wildlife sanctuary after his disappearance and the locals are suddenly facing all the hardships due to a loss in their incomes. A clear message , as to how important is the tiger even for the humans .
Dpp4 CS6, Levels, selective colour , added canvas on the left and slightly on the top , sharpening .
1/640 sec; f/4.0; ISO 1600 , Late evening .
Canon 1D MKIV, Canon 300mm f2.8 IS II, Bean Bag.
All your C&C's are most welcome.

A great picture, Haseeb.
And sad though the story is, I hope it helps to spread the message to the local people in areas around the world that animals such as these are far more valuable to them alive than as trophies or as part of what is euphemistically called 'traditional medicine'.
Hi Haseeb - A sad story with perhaps interesting implications on both conservation and tourism efforts. As to the image, for me this is one of your better tiger images. Great look back pose. I don't mind the road as it serves as a leading line and also we know that the predators like the roads for ease of travel too. Colors look good though the slightest bit of cyan is coming through on the inside of the left front paw. I can see some repetition where you added canvas on the left.
Hi Haseeb .. sad story about the male .As Tigers are special even more !!!!
Great looking back pose of this specimen .I like the framing with the road moving out of the frame , still not a lover of those road shots , but i know difficult to avoid them at times .
Nice deep colors an tones , as a personal thing i might drop the oranges a fraction .
If you have extended the frame at the top .... i would give more as it does look a bit cramped at the top . I bet there is no canvas added on LHS ....
I would drop the sharpening as it clashes a bit with the contrast ,which is quite strong .The details do look a bit coarse for me .
Very nice to see this Tiger .... wish i had the chance myself .........
I yes that cyan is right their and i knew Rachel wouldn't miss it , but i guess i have to rework on that again as i tried to remove it while processing but it still remained in bits .
@ Andreas - Will try again as you suggested as far as orange is concerned i might retain it as i feel that what reflects from the road and the resulting dust in the surrounding .
I'm OK on the overall colours and I quite like the framing, although agree with Andreas that you need more above. I might have gone to ISO2500, but as presented I might run a bit of NR on the BKG. The road isn't an issue and I like the slight curve, but the hint of vegetation poking out just catches my eye, stupid I know, not Ideal, but I might just crop on the RHS. You could clone, but you need to have some variation.
