Hi Michael, I like this a lot. The detail on the wing feathers is gorgeous and so sharp. It looks a little dark on my screen - is it possible to lighten the image without blowing out the white of the breast? Well done!!

    good comp and sharpness Michael,
As Nicki noted, it appears a bit underexposed and bg thus a bit noisy
Here's a slight rework of levels, bg noise and sharpening of ibis only....and started a wee bit of bg cleanup of the biggest dark areas.
All a matter of taste, but an alternative to look at

Awesome repost Dave !!! Big Time Congrats on that one !!!!

Excellent base image Michael Excellent flight pose and very sharp. Also managed a good bg which is no easy task there !!! The icing on the cake for this would have been fill flash. If going for it adjusting the shutter speed would have been in order, probably at no more than 1/500 to have some reach !! I like it a lot is a very appealing image !!!!

I'm torn between the original and the repost. The original does seem a bit dark on my monitor, too. At the same time though, the original and the repost are not exactly the same. Besides the brightness, the colors have also been changed in the repost. Each seems to be conveying different moods. I think the original could use some brightening in certain parts of the photo though.

I'm rather with Desmond. Great image, really like it, Dave did a super repost. I sort a feel something in-between the two?
