    Hi folks ...
    another Grey seal from Helgoland , this time a tight side portrait .
    As there is no big story around it .... i keep it simple and hope you like it

    Canon EOS 1Dx
    Ef 200-400 at 400 mm
    Tripod

    F 8 ; Iso 4000; 1/1600 sec

    Hi Andreas - This works very well with nice detail and textures from the sand stuck to the fur. Interesting that even at f8 the whiskers on the other side of the head are oof. Nice one.

    Hi Andreas -- Yes simple it is but a nice portrait . You have got some lovely details and sharpness and as Rachel said the sand is nicely textured against its fur , good techs as well . A very nice image .

    Lovely detailed shot nice to see her ear too!! Colours look great. Muted but not entirely monotonous background just acts beautifully.
    How on earth they can tolerate sand in their eyes I just don't know.
