    Default Northern Harrier

Shot this Harrier today with help from a feathered up owl decoy.I believe it's a female. Canon 5D4 600II. ISO 1600. 1/3200 sec @ f/5 handheld. Converted in DPP, resized and sharpened in PS. Thanks for looking and any input.

What a ripper Joe, fantastic sharpness and detail, looks the the owl decoy payed off in spades. I can see you are having a similar issue with halo's to a peregrine image I posted recently. Particularly noticeable here along the hard leading edges and between the lower wing primaries. I'm not sure there is lot we can do to avoid halos but there are ways to remove them. I ended up writing a blog about it HERE Cool shot, TFS!

Awesome!! I love the banking pose. Perfect exposure, even getting some detail on the white rump. I've always wanted to experiment with an owl decoy. Were you in a blind or in your vehicle? Yes to it being a female.

Awesome capture. It is tack sharp, great feather detail, a bright clear eye and well exposed. I see them all the time but to date do not have an acceptable image. They stay just out of range.
