    Colin:

    Such elegant birds. Like the display of tail, feet, slight catchlight.

    There is a noticeable sharpening halo around the head. If he was banked a bit more our way, it would be display the wings better and be more dramatic.

    A cloud or two in the bg, separate from the bird,would add some depth.

    Because of the downward gaze, you could consider cropping a bit off the right, all the extra negative space doesn't add a lot to the comp. If you crop from the right, I would take a sliver off the top to avoid going too square.

    Hopefully you have a situation where you can work these beauties some more.
