    Ok, it was simply hovering.

    This time, it also turned left and then right for me before it flew away. Since it was so cooperating, I took full advantage of it. All I need is to put in front of the bird a sign with a serial number on it to turn them into photos of some other usage :)

    Again, Fuji S5, 105 mm f2.8 macro @ f3; ISO 400 1/4000 sec., shutter priority mode; hand-held; manual focus mode; no flash.

    Really cool photo Desmond! It's hard to pull off a photo like this at f/3. You simply need more DOF. The gorget looks great but the eyes are soft, as is the breast. I would go for less shutter speed and a smaller aperture. Thanks for posting!

    I'm simple impressed beyond works Desmond !!! Would park this image over in the main bird gallery to see what folks think about it !!! Big Time Congrats !!!
