Not one of the prettiest birds but one that sure provides a function of cleaning up road kill in Florida. Image captured last Saturday while driving Black Point Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Joe this is really nice and can you see what I meant when I said 'comparison' in relation to the images on another thread?
If you add some luminosity layer adjustments to the head, you will really bring home the beautiful detail & texture within the head, it's really cool Joe, killer background.

Hey Steve, thanks for viewing and your suggested improvements. I looked at the image your emailed with your edit, and tried to do the same using Lightroom. Let me know what you think?

These guys have their own unique beauty. Good details overall. Although I photograph wide-open almost all the time, I do like to stop down for tight portraits, if possible, especially for larger birds...this will often get the shoulder part as sharp as the head. More room above would be nice here. Great head turn, and excellent background!
