Quite a quirky pose - really nice light, layering and colours here Jonathan...
Not much I can add except perhaps looking at shaving a wee bit off the bottom?

Hi Jon - I agree with Morkel, a sort of awkward look-back pose. Almost looks like she may have an itch or something. I like the fall tones and the layers of the habitat. Colors look good.

Hi jon, perhaps not the most flattering of poses or POV but I like the framing. Agree on loosing a tad of the foot. I wonder if going lower would have helped avoid the road/track in the BKG? Nice detail in the head, I wonder about adding/introducing some more 'richness' into the image???

Hi Jonathan -- loving these images from your trip , agree on the pose a bit awkward . I like the colours and tones , but the road in the BKG is not ideal here. Yes that FG needs to shelved a bit .

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am finding you all little unpredictable at the moment
I was about to trim some off the base before posting but in view of the number of times comments have been made about having a bit more at the base I decided to leave it!
I thought I had enriched the elk - maybe not enough?
The pose? Well I kinda liked it, I thought it showed off the hues of the coat rather well.

Jon, you should never expect - the expected .

From my PoV it all depends upon the image and if the legs are visible or not, if not, allow for more, if visible, then you can be a little sharper with the knife. Just my take.
