    Colin:

    I like the gentle wave action in the bg, striding pose.

    The head looks just a bit softer than the body. If possible, a slightly lower perspective would have reduced the impact of the mud in the foreground. Yes , it shows the environment nicely, but I could see downplaying it a bit.

    I have similar thoughts to Randy, the bird's head needs just a little more sharpening and I would crop a little off the base to reduce the area of the mud element.
