Here's another Kudu image for you. Same character I showed you the other night, this time the vegetation/tree does not intersect its head and beautiful horns, do you like this better?
Kindly note the whirlwind in the BG on the RHS of the frame...

Hope you all have a beautiful relaxing Sunday, thank you for viewing - appreciated:)
Hey Gabby, hmm I liked the last one too
Gabby the placement is beautiful,I like the oof tree to the left which brings our friend right up front and adds depth to your image .I like this composition alot Gabby!!. The grasses/twigs bottom right really anchor him for me. But again the way the fantastic light is working on him is really the star of this for me. It's a stunning portait Gabby,I can't yet really comment of the post aspects, but this does seem to pop more for me than the last his tones seem stronger? Again majestic is a word I'm drawn to use those horns are bewildering. I do love his ears, they make me smile, this alert pose ear wise is something I see here with our deer,it always makes me smile, their ears suddenly seem a bit big when set like this.
A stunning portrait set in stunning light, beautifully composed of an utterly magnificent Kudu and a whirlwind at the back just for good measure not much to not like here for me.
I hope you too have a wonderful weekend, and again, just lovely to see you sharing images, that always inspire and make me want to try harder
Hi Gabriela, I think I prefer the previous posting. This clearly shows the lovely 'corkscrew' antlers (so over five years old), but somehow the other had more 'majesty' about it.
Hi Gabriela - It's not easy to get headshots of these guys in the open. They often run off or are eating if they don't. Beautiful light and nice detail. The comp works for me. Techs look good. I would not have known it was a whirlwind in the bg if you didn't say so in the intro.
Dear Gabriela, excellent portrait of this regal antelope. Great light and details with superb HA, eye contact and amazing horns. The comp is sweet too.

Sanjeev
It's rare to find a good kudu bull in the Kalahari close enough for photos, that's for sure.
You made the most of this - nice pleasing warm Kalahari tones, and a good classic pose. Off to look for your previous post now :)
Hi Gabriela -- Those horns are shown nicely in this frame but i too prefer your previous posting because of the colours and the habitat it displayed . nice details here as well .
I always find this a tough subject to get a good image of, I think you have done as well as any I have seen. I like the OOF Acacia in the BG. Light is great and the details are top class.
Hi Gab ,
i like this one , different to the other one .Less impressive i think , but i like the look to the camera and the overall tone and soft colors . The BG is way more pleasing compared to the other shot .
Lovely details and the sharpness is spot on .
I might try a vertical portrait if the IQ can stand the big crop .
Thank you Morkel, Haseeb, Dumay and my Boetie Andreas,
I just want to say it again: it feels so good to be back
Really grateful for your comments and just taking some time to view - I do not have a lot of new "material" to work on, but I shall dig in my archives if I have to.
