Taken in March of this year... It was pretty overcast so the light wasn't great. I'm taking a que from Fabs here in that normally I would crop to place the bird flying into the open space (frame). In this image I thought the trailing splash behind the bird was interesting enough to include and over ruled the norm. Curious to know what you all think.

    Comments always welcome...

Steve, if you have more space to the left, I'd add it to complete the 3:2, not because of the trail, but because of the difference on the wings. A catch light (fill flash) would have helped.

    Let's hear other opinions :)

    This?

Oringinally you said to complete the 3:2... I'm sure I'm mis-understanding, but in the original post the head was exactly on the 1/3 vertical... maybe that's not what you were refering to?

This is what I meant, centered, but I think it works in this case.

I like it Steve. Couldn't resist trying to add some catchlights in this one. Then started fooling around with color balance and sharpening.... the result is here. Hope you like it.

Hey leroy... Thank you for giving this a go! I like the catch lights and what you did with the color balance. On this end however it's looking a little over sharpened. Dunno if it's my monitor or what... But thank you again for working with this!
