    Default Purple Gallinule

I captured this image of a Purple Gallinule feeding on Fire Flag blossoms Monday morning at Circle B Bar Reserve. Not the purest background but unless they feed or climb on stalks that overhang the water the background is vegetation too close for separation. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Really nice pose, colors and image quality on this shot. I know how hard it is to get a shot of one of these guys out in the open. I think that the large dried whitish leaves don't make for the most appealing backgrounds in this case.

Beautiful colors with fine feather detail, a bright clear eye and IQ. The seeds in the beak add to the image.

Lovely bird Joe and well captured. The bird look real good, with nice feather detail. The BG is too busy and takes the eye away from the subject.

Beautiful bird well captured, Joe. This is quite a nice angle showing the different colors in the feathers, beak and head. You've even managed to get those large feet in. This is his behavior in his habitat.
