Hi everyone! Back from an amazing 24 days camping with my family all over Namibia...we traveled 7000km in total, over 2000km on dirt roads. We spent 2 weeks in Etosha and another 8 days in the Namib Desert. Here's a first post, although I have to still organise all my photos and ensure it's all downloaded.

    Welcome back as well

A very nice and typical giraffe bent pose here Morkel,

love the overall sunset colour with just enough detail in the darks, my first thougts were for a lower POV, but assume you were in a vehicle and fairly close?

    TFS

Hi Morkel -- Glad to have you back. So envious of you guys , must have been some amazing time spent with great sightings and photography opportunities.

I liked the scene with lovely colours and the bent pose of the Giraffe and not intersecting with the horizon helping here immensely .

    TFS !

Morkel that sky is magic,I think the Giraffe just as the right amount of detail and shows very well against the sky,one of these days I would love to have a look over there.

Hi Morkel - Welcome back! A great first image with beautiful sunset colors and a nice pose from the giraffe. Just enough detail on the giraffe coming through too. Pano comp works but I'm wondering if you have a little more below just so it's not 50/50 between sky and land.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Thanks folks - Rachel I took many photos on this afternoon, at varying distances from me. Might have some better ones but this was when the sun was at its lowest before we had to make it back to camp...
