I like to study my wildlife as well as taking pictures,it was interesting to see this baby hare feeding on this thistle that was growing in a plot of nice juicy shoots of sweetcorn that was planted for feed to attract game birds, not sure if he stayed on this diet I see the end missing on some of the sweetcorn shoots.
Thanks for taking a look,it was taken before I realized that i could take my iso a lot higher on my D4.

Hi Keith - This looks very good with excellent colors on the hare and sharpness. Only thing I might do if it were mine is eliminate the blues at the top of the frame.

Nice sighting Keith, and good work to get such a clear view at a low angle.

I agree with Rachel about losing the blues at the top, might need to be a PP fix as cropping them off makes things a bit tight.

Hi Keith, nice one, seems you are now nailing the sharpness which I know has always been there in your captures, you are just honing more you PP skills.

I'm away so could be wrong, however taking onboard Rachel's reference, I think you could just tweak the Temp and some other colours to bring a bit more 'pop' to the overall capture. The vegetation over the front part of the body is a bit unfortunate, however you cannot know where they will stop, so it's not a deal breaker. Yes I know by now you would have increased the SS as it's a D4 .

Keith if this works then I send you a screen grab, but it was done on the laptop, so...

Thanks Rachel, had used hue/saturation to remove any blues, magenta's,cyan looks like it missed the bits at the top and must admit i did also. Thanks Mike had a few that evening and of course the young are a bit daft and give you a better chance .Steve I would appreciate the screen grab thank you,the main difference I see is in the vegetation as pointed out to Rachel's comment ,think maybe taking out these colours have effected the greens particularly on the thistle, would appreciate all your thoughts.

Hi Keith - I think Steve's adjustment may have been more global. I did notice that the thistle had a bit of cyan/blue in the op but thought it was natural. The cyan/blue at the top seemed to draw the eye and that was why I suggested eliminating them but I think I would do it more selectively (or to a greater extent than I would reduce in the thistle). I still see the cyan at the top in Steve's rp though it's not as strong. Here's a rp where I used the op and only reduced them in the top foliage.

Hi Keith -- This is a very nice image , well done on the colours and sharpness on the subject ! I think the RP's are slightly better in terms of overall colour temp but all in all a fine image .

    TFS !

Hi Keith, lovely low angle, and love the relaxed pose with the 'folded' ears. You have brought out very nice detail on the Hare, and the sharpness is spot on. Its always good to receive various suggestions as above. We all learn.

Keith, many times our shared love of hares gives rise to you inspiring me,I've said it often before ,this image is no exception ! I find the leverets **** jumpy Keith i'd like some daft ones please I didn't know about the thistles being part of their diet Keith so a brief thanks for that little gem.
Keith lovely sharp detailed capture I feel I want to rotate him slightly counter clock. I like what Rachel did here with the blues up top and also feel Steve repost just pops a tiny bit more, fascinating read again!! But it's an awesome capture Keith I'd be very proud to call this mine you were very close as well all credit !! For a subject that I have a degree of knowledge of for a change, this is superb Keith beautifuly excecuted
Well done mate a pleasure to see ,oh colours look great to me as an aside
    big thanks for sharing

    take care

Thanks Haseeb,Stu,and,Stu will have a look at the rotation.Rachel was your repost taken from my OP or Steve's?will have a close look at my processing and when I look back taking the cyan down seems to have changed the colour of the thistle, perhaps got a bit carried away .

Keith I think that is a lovely intimate shot, the leveret is completely at ease nibbling away. I have seen the reposts, I like them, but to be quite honest I like your version equally.
For what it is worth if this is a crop I would loosen it a little and address the blue area at the top.

Keith - taken from your op and the only thing I did was address the cyan and blue at the top of the frame.

Thanks Jon ,not much of a crop this one was feeding next to my car. Thanks for the reply Rachel I will certainly watch that pesky cyan on my next post, but even though I had dropped the blues I missed that at the top.

Keith, just to conclude as I'm worried it's concentrating on one element, but you have to look at both, but only one may need a slight tweak. There isn't a 'Silver Bullet' sadly, you just need to see it, then adjust, don't think 'I will do this' and it's sorted. It varies, likewise where & how you adjust it.

Just remember, sometimes you may address a colour, but sometimes it can be another i.e. Yellow, just take a few minutes to look before you adjust, however it's all done in real time so you can visually see what happens.
