I was at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida this morning. Not much there right now but I captured this image of a Tri-colored Heron. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Joe:

I have always liked tri colors, very handsome. Well exposed, nice background. A bit tight in the frame for me, top and left exp. To my eye, some of the plumage looks over sharpened, esp. on the neck.

    Cheers

Lovely portrait Joe. The BG colours go well. Beautiful detail and a very nice pose.

Joe I much prefer the more natural looking repost, suppose technically the Op is about right but I do feel the repost is more the way I see birds, but nice work on both.

Good one, Joe. The repost is an improvement. Bird had just the right head position to get good DOF, sharp right to the tip of the beak. Lovely BG.
