Hi Jon, looks like you are getting to grips with PSCC, enjoying it??? BTW the techs Sir???

I like the image, but personally I would like a tad more below, if you have it, just move the whole crop down. Great detail, especially in the finer areas providing some lovely form & texture. Light looks well handled especially on the whites. The colour of the 'fur/coat' looks spot on to me and far better in comparison to an earlier one posted Jon, but it's on the laptop so...

Steve - Oops forgot the data... it was so easy with DPP just cut and paste!
The image is full frame, I could recrop with content aware for a couple of millimeters. Glad you like it!

Gorgeous John echoing Steve's comments on detail and those whites it looks like that was no easy thing to do as you had alot of light, what were the sky conditions please John of you don't mind? It's a lovely place to make images of deer the edge of a sloping away hill,it's something I have encountered recently john with the fallow. There is something really appealing about the focus line close to the deer against the oof BKG,is he shot on center point ?
Beautifully executed John, unsure on Steve's bit at the bottom,I hear him, though it's very fine for me,he's probably right lol.. I'd have been on the top line of focal points for him on my iv (there's not enough I need more nearer the edges, lol it drives me nuts lol)which tends to give me a bit at the bottom especially if an animal this shape comes closer, which is why I asked.
Tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny nit: orange spot center of hill, other wise cracking as well as being somewhat personally inspiring !!
Again I can't get away from beautifully executed !!

    take care

Very sharp and well exposed.. Looks light the light was a bit harsh but you handled it very well. Comp is fine for me no virtual legs cropped but you could have had a bit more room on the bottom of the frame... By the look of the habitat I tend to think this image is from the Little America area of the park which is the first valley you go through after you turn at Tower Junction towards the Northeast Entrance. Between the bridge over the Yellowstone and the bridge over the Lamar River just before the canyon!

Hi Jon - I love images of the various Yellowstone wildlife on ridges with some of the park in the bg and this is no exception. Agree a little more room below but not a deal breaker by any means. The pp and color look really good here. Nice one.

Thanks for the feedback everyone glad you liked it.
PSCC - very similar to CS6, still not using Lightroom just Bridge & ACR, crop with content aware would work well on this image. Images much quicker to process. The De haze filter in ACR is good on the distant mountains in landscapes....may consider LR - open to persuasion!!
Dale I suspect you are correct regarding the location.
Stu I suspect the light was clear and bright, the first week we were there the weather was good, for a good deal of the time there were clear blue clouds, the image was taken at 09.38hr. The little orange blob may well have been another pronghorn.

Hi Jonathan -- quite late on this but looks way better in terms of colours than the previous one , and nice details and sharpness, a bit more space at the bottom as already said but that is the only thing I found wanting . But all in all a very fine image .

    TFS !
