Funny thing about photography is that it often looks static, in this case almost as if the bird were posing. In truth, there is only a split-second from the time the bird plucks the berry until it is down the hatch. From my backyard in early October. Essentially full height cropped from horizontal.

Couldn't ask for better timing, Bill. Right type of berried plant in your backyard, right time of year for leaves just starting to change color, and a CEDW to land and give you the ideal pose with berry in beak . Well done.
Hi Bill, a perfect image to fit the theme, and I do like the show off pose with the berry in the beak. Good DOF on the bird, and the surrounding foliage where it is perched. Nicely separated from the BG too.
