I have been trying to get close enough to a Green Winged Teal for quite a while, and nature finally provided! Not the best light or most interesting pose, but i think it is a keeper, I will see what the experts here say Canon 7D ll, with the 100-400 ll, and 1.4X lll, f/8, 1/800 sec, 560mm 500 iso, handheld.

Lovely looking bird Michael with surrounding complimentary colors, nice reflection too. Image could do with a bit of a lift, maybe dodging the head or right levels.

Repost looks good Michael. A bird that is on my bucket list also. Nice palette of colors, maybe just a slight turn towards us would make it a 10. Thank you for sharing.

The light really isn't bad - good colours giving a nice autumn feel. A bit better head angle would have been super, but knowing how skittish these guys can be I understand you being happy with the opportunity. The repost is indeed an improvement.

Congratulations on getting a bucket bird. Ditto the above comments; the repost really picks it up.
