    Out to Circle B Bar Reserve this morning where I captured this image of an Eastern Phoebe. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600nn FFE)
    1/2000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering 0 EV ISO 400 AWB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, slight burning and reduction of highlights on the breast
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Hi Joe. The angle's a bit steep, but the detail on this little Phoebe is exquisite.

    Hi Joe, excellent detail, sharp and well exposed. I like the HA, although shooting angle already covered. Comp wise, I feel if one is posting a 'portrait', I would not include as much of the body as you have, as it portrays a subject that has been cut off. A full frame portrait just below the neck line, will always go a long way. Do a mouse scroll on your repost above to hopefully show what I am trying to get across. Keep them coming.
