Hi Rachel, is this FF or a crop, 'you don't say'
.
Good to have the eye visible on this one, you must have been very close. Nice detail, but for me I find the actual carcass rather dominant, so I would suggest an alternative of say either half or a third of the carcass & two thirds of the Lioness, as is. The 'curve' is a strong asset, so I think having less of the LHS may enhance everything an push the lioness delving into the cavity.

Thanks Steve. This is ff. I do have ones with the head fully in the cavity without the eye visible as well. I'll look at your suggested crop.
Thanks again,
Rachel

Hi Rachel -- A typical big cat feeding behaviour . At the first view my eyes were diverted on the carcass and then towards the lioness so i also think that Steve's crop suggestion will work here . Nice details and sharpness as usual .
Why are they called as the Hollywood pride ?

Thanks Haseeb, I was told that the pride's name was changed from something else to the Hollywood Pride when they became the favorites of film crews due to the reliability of sightings and kills.

Hi Rachel, Well done on capturing the visible eye in this one, although you say you have others with her head completely in the carcass. I like the bloodied face showing the feeding behaviour, and good DOF all round. The finer detail on the lioness shows up very well.

I like the detail in the lion but the skin of the buffalo doesn't have much appeal so I would suggest a recrop, maybe even a portrait composition.
