Wow the board seems to be all Africa all the time! Been away for a while just very busy with my summer tour business in Yellowstone and my fall tours.. Things have slowed done now and I hopefully can be around here a bit more.

Here's a wolf from one of my winter Yellowstone tours.. Getting ready for this years so I'd thought I'd post this.

    EXIF: EOS 50D : 600m lens : 1/1250SS : f/6.3 ISO400 : EV -0.33

Hi Dale - Good to have you back and bringing a bit of diversity/variety to the Forum. You forgot to include camera, lens and EXIF data. Nice look to camera and the falling snow really adds to the mood.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Dale, I think Winter really is the best time to photograph Wolves, it just seems to be their natural environment and setting IMHO.

Love the slop, ration of snow and backdrop and that look to camera. Nice space all round for framing and with the falling snow it creates a cool atmosphere to the overall scene.

You forgot to include camera, lens and EXIF data.
    I've added it Rachel

Wow that is a lovely shot, I like the pose and the winter setting, the grass stems poking through really compliment the overall picture. You did extremely well to get a shot like this, I appreciate images like this are not easily come by.
(I saw wolves a few weeks back they were about 6px in size on the far end of someone's powerful telescope)

that is a good image that creates the feeling, without looking at the technical details of the shot ... look at the overall image and works for me

    Hi Dale,

love the image of the wolf, very nice setting. Also the falling snow adds a lot for me. I might would do a tiny gardening on the 2 little grass thingies just in front of the wolf. Well, say it this way, I would remove it on a layer and switch on off to see what looks better My style to check. But as usual, it depends on everybody's taste, of course.

    Have a great day

    Ciao Anette
