You nailed this one Chris. Shows the bird off beautifully, although a bit of head turn to the bird's left would have helped I guess.

    Hi Chris

    attractive bird, fg and bg

not a fan of the weed, etc., (too much of a distraction from the "simple" bird image) ............and the bird is too far over to the right for me

but a good angle at which you have taken the shot

Chris I personally always have difficulty getting these birds to look right, you certainly don't.Lots of very good detail in the bird which also looks to be very well exposed.Take Bills point but all in all I like the image.

Hi Chris - Nice control of the exposure with good detail in the whites and an excellent low pov. I also would have placed the turnstone more to the left in the frame with additional space to the right. Was there anything to the right that prevented you from doing so?

Hi guys and thanks for all of the comments and questions. I actually placed both the Turnstone and the seaweed in the fame purposely. I understand it's not conventional, but I believe it's good to experiment and step out of the box every once in a while. I feel the seaweed draws my eye to the bird and fills what would have been a rather bland palette.

Whats great is having a place to offer, not only a conventionally composed image, but also one that hopefully stretches us as artists.

Again in I truly thank everyone for the feedback.

    Chris
