I had this guy come soaring by as I was standing watching the surf at the end of a boardwalk access to Playa Linda Beach in Merritt Island NWR, Merritt Island, Florida. I had clipped the left wing by the time I got on the bird so I went with this composition. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

I like that crop showing more of the head than otherwise.

Hi Joe - The crop and comp work for me with nice sharpness. There seems to be a lot of blue in the feathers. I thought they are more brown and black.

    TFS,

Hey Rachel, you're right the feathers are brown/black. I think the opening of the shadows in the under wing maybe has allowed some blue to creep in. I will revisit and see what I can do. Thank you for your comments, very much appreciated.
