    a small bird - garden - SW France

    HH - D750 + 300mm f4 PF VR + TC 1,4
    1/800th – f8 - ISO 450

    Sweet shot Bill,lovely jaunty pose with nice head turn,multi coloured bg sets the bird off nicely,did wonder how it would look with some off the left but that would loose the sloe berries so I am very happy to view as posted.

    sloe berries - I try if possible to include in shots like this something to give the birds a "scale" and relative size

    Hi Bill, lovely pose from the little guy, and I like how the perch comes into the frame. Comp wise, I see your point about including the berries, but in this, I would crop from the left to exclude them, and add space to the bottom.
