    Default Tiny flapper...

This was a week or so old Common Loon chick giving me a nice wing flap.

This was shot from kayak, handheld with Canon 1DX, Canon 300 f/2.8 IS II + 2.0TCIII at f/8, 1/1600, ISO 800. Adjusted shadows, clarity and sharpening in LR and cropped.

What a cute little fella! I love almost everything about the picture here except wanting a very slight more room at the bottom. That wing position and head angle is to die for.

Cute factor is ridiculous on this one. To me this is just about perfect. Love the head angle and the tiny wings stretched out! Sharpness and exposure look spot on to me. So nice Geoff.

Real cutie, love it. Lovely detail on the bird and I really like the colours on the water.

    Nice one.

As has been said...so cute. Maybe a tad more on the bottom and left wouldn't go amiss but that is nit-picking.

It all came together perfectly for this one Geoff, I wouldn't change anything - the low POV with the great wing position really make this one a winner. Good lighting has enabled detail in all the tones.

Excellent image Geoff! I like the low angle, IQ, water color, details and those little wings make the image special.

The feather softness has been captured well, Geoff ...... and the image "springs" out of the page ........ cute bird

my only comment would be to reduce the bg noise further to add to the "softness" effect ........ plus I find the bg blue a little too blue

The low angle and the dynamic pose of this delicate chick make this image. sharp with good exposure, agree on NR on the BG

Late to the party, but had to add my congrats for a wonderful image. Yes to some NR, but a stunning shot, with cuteness factor over the top.
