    D810 - f4 - 1/1000th sec - ISO 900

Really big crop at 11% of a 600mm f4 image ...... (sharpness has suffered, maybe too much, because of the big crop but it is amazing how the D810 can perform)

Don't see a lot of problem with sharpness Bill, like the pose and it works for me with the bird in it's natural habitat, there is a lot of vegetation but I think it works very well in this case with the bird jumping to the forefront.Nice job.

Yes, the huge crop held well for web presentation. If these guys behave anything like our very similar chickadees then it should be easy to create a setup and get them to come close. I'd have preferred a pose where the branch does not intersect behind the head. All those greens make for a neat garden feel.

I agree with Daniel's comments on the image. A nice natural image Bill.

Image as stood up well considering the big crop, nice to see the bird in it's environment.
Maybe just darken the oof leaves down to the right of the bird, but no big deal.

Lovely greens, you can almost smell the leaves. I like the pose on the bird. A wee bit too small in the frame for me. Well done Bill
