    It is a fine shot and I appreciate the difficulties but the whites are a little overblown, a fine eye and tail feather.. well worthy of the encountered problems.

    I've had another go at this. My monitor is getting a bit old and dull even at maximum brightness so I've had a few comments about my pics being a bit bright; time for a new one.

    Colin, a really attractive bird that I would love to see, but I cannot see me getting to Os anytime soon

    The problem with pulling back whites is that they can get 'shadowy" and "blank" even when not fully blown - so you have my sympathy in processing

    IMHO, the foreground rock on the bottom left is also not doing you image any favours, but it is good to see the birds natural surroundings with its chick
