    Hey all,
This is a golden eagle form my last weekend at in the mountains. I hope you like it.
    Here are the tech details:
    Nikon D3, 300 mm f/2.8 + 1.7 TC.
    f/5.6, 1/2500s, ISO 3200

Levels and colour adjustments. Cropped to about 50% of the original image. Noise reduction due to the high ISO and sharpening.
Thanks for your comments and advices!

Wonderful lighting and a good profile of the eagle and the background i beautifully coloured.

I think it needs a wee bit more on the left to balance the image out, the white spot just behind its eye is quite distracting (it is so white that it seems like a catchlight itself). It is a shame about the near most wing being horizontal like that as it makes the nearside of the bird look a untidy. Do you have a shot with the wing in a higher position?

the take off pose is nice, so are the perch and BG, but I wish his head wasn't slightly turned away from us and didn't fell in the shade. the wing position coulee be more dynamic as well

Excellent image of great raptor, great lights, and superb composition.
My most favorite, not seen so far and not getting time to go to "Himalayas" to capture this.

    Satish.
