    Default SPANISH IMPERIAL EAGLE

    Hello.

My first photo to BPN !!

I had authorisation to feed vultures in central spain, in order to make photos. After two years working, I decided to made a small hide near a big tree, wich usually eagles used at perch.

The light is only good for that tree in afternoon, so I had to wait the hole day. Some eagles take land during the morning, but the light did not came from the correct direction. Finally, this beauty eagle appeared.

With a small crop, manual WB (usually I use a glass mirror hide, so I must make colors a little cold; in this case I do not use authomatic WB and I had to set it to 5.800 K)

    Hi Alberto, welcome to BPN

If this is the type of shot you can produce I hope you join is and show more of them.

Good choice to wait for the light, it has produced a nice shot here. I love the detail in the face, and the turn of the head is perfect. The background suite the shot well.

The only thing I'd change is to clone out the 2 lower twigs, I gave it a try here, but it could be done neater with more time.

    Mike

Welcome to BPN Alberto! Fantastic first post, and your dedication in working that spot rewarded you with a beautiful image of this eagle. Well-balanced composition, great look-back pose, and a good BG. That bottom twig was my only concern, and Mike's repost addresses that (if you are comfortable with that type of editing).

Hope to see some more from you, and don't be shy to critique others' work too, all part of the BPN experience!
