Just as the sun peaked this morning, I was lucky to have this Black Bellied Plover standing in front of me.

Chris you surely have these early morning shots down to a fine art. Love this one. My only nit is a soft disc of light artifact above the back of the birds head.

The soft light, the short distance and the perspective are indeed very nice.
i like it very much like it is, for me nothing to critizise

This is an excellent combination of viewpoint, focussing and lighting.

Lovely light on this plover, with a terrific POV. The "soft disc" also caught my eye - a specular highlight, I guess. An interesting touch, but a little distracting.

Stunning light, and a great pose, especially with the low shooting angle.

The OOF specular highlight is a bit distracting, and i'd probably have tried to clone it out, but not a massive issue by any means.

I'd be happy with this in my files.

This is fantastic image. (Thumbnail doesn't give justice to the image.).
Wonderful lights, very nice pose and colors.

Thank you to everyone that commented on my post. Yes the specular highlight is there and can be distracting if allowed. If my processing skills where better I might try to remove it, but given my poor skills it shall unfortunately stay.
