You have a frame full of birds in this one Bill and also a couple of Antelopes I think,I like the way the Geese stand out against the bg especially the mountain bit.Very well caught.

Hi Bill.
This image doesn't work for me.
My issue with this shot is that the geese are all flying away from you.
I find the antelope distract, especially the one that is obscured by one of the geese.

These are difficult situations to get good images of. I can see why you did want to photograph it as the scenery looks like it was beautiful. The flock taking off has some issues though, one of them being that they are flying away as Gail points out. The wind was not blowing in your favor (birds take off against the wind). There are also a few unfortunate (and difficult to avoid) merges that weaken the frame. Tough to compose as well - the four rightmost birds are too close to the edge of the frame IMO - had they not been there, the flow would have been better. What this image does though is highlight how colourful these guys' wings are! Looks like you got a couple of ducks too. Hopefully you'll get the chance at it again, but check the wind conditions and plan acoordingly

Thanks Daniel, all comments taken on-board and appreciated - just a one chance opportunity and as you indicate it was a colourful display ....... I cloned out a few half birds at both edges
