Hi Dumay -- A lovely Leopard image , with great eye contact ! Details have come out nicely and the sharpness looks good . Though i am not sure on the framing , i find the space on the lhs a bit excessive , but that just could be me , i would opt for a more tighter frame coming down from the lhs .

    TFS !

Hi Dumay - Nice look back pose. I like negative space so am ok with the comp of the op. Overall the image feels a little dark/underexposed and the blacks a bit strong. I would look at lifting it all slightly if it can be done without introducing too much noise. Something along these lines. Btw I think I recognize this leopard .

Thanks for the reposts, Haseeb space a personal thing, I like it that way. Rachel I shot it in the dark shade of a dry riverbed (This feels like the way I remember it) I suppose it could be lightened a little but yours is now to light...It looks over exposed now, almost washed out.

Fair enough Dumay. You were there. I agree that I went too far in the very quick edit.

Rachel...I have redone the image and I have to agree it looks better a little lighter...Somewhere between yours and mine.

Hi Dumay, nice looking portrait and look back pose.

I think you did well with the 'green' background where it intersects with the head, but if it was lower then I feel it may have been more of an issue. I would look to perhaps using a Graduate filter on the white area to see if some more tonal areas could be recovered. The OP is too dark and the black pattern/rosette markings are chocked, creating loss of fine detail and presenting a 'heaviness' to the image, however Rachel's RP does not look washed out and probably going in the right direction. If you are getting the right Exposures i.e. ETTR then I think it could be your monitor set-up Dumay which I assume you calibrate on a regular basis, once a month, what are your settings for:

    Gamma response
    White Point
    Brightness

If they are incorrect then an easy correction can be made, in addition are you working with lights on and if so, are any hitting the screen ie a window...

    TFS
    Steve
