    Another of the Sooty Oystercatcher. This one has a better sun angle than the previous one but the feet are hidden.
    1DXII 70-200 2.8 II & 2xIII 400mm 1/400 f9 iso200 -.7 pattern metering. Full frame. DPP4 and PS CC2016. Cloned out some distracting BG shadows, toned the bill down (enough?)

    Think I would like to see this with maybe a little off the top even though the yellow /green rocks look ok,think the feathers and colour of the bird look excellent.interesting that you mentioned the bill Colin it does look a bit strong on my monitor,that said I have only seen these birds from a distance and must admit even on my Oyster Catchers I am Never sure about that red and the legs look good.

    Excellent image. Beautiful colors and details. Though BG is busy, looks little bit bright on my monitor.
