OK, so not the most exotic of species, but I liked the way the colours in the first winter cygnet reflected the water tones.

    Canon 5d3
    500mm f4 is
    ISO 800

A couple of distractions in the water removed.

It is a lovely shot Mike. Looks tack sharp with fine feather detail. I like the pose, water reflection and BG compliments the feather colors.

That's a good shot Mike - technically very good and the composition is really attractive

no negatives from me - maybe think about the band at the top of the bg and the areas of vertical light coming down the bg - but just a matter of discussion and consideration - maybe they are attractive as they are

Hi Mike, brilliant IQ, and in turn, you have captured really good detail throughout the Cygnet. I like the low perspective, and the youngster has really given you a cool pose too. Yes, the colours of the BG compliment the Cygnet nicely. Did I mention how sharp this is.

Hi Mike - This works on all counts for me. Excellent low pov, complementary colors, sharpness and detail. It's all there. Well done.

Great looking image. Love the colour palette. The pose is very nice. Only thing I don't like is the area of the body showing within the curve of the neck.

Interesting plumage, sharp details. You are correct about the matching water and feathers. I would prefer the dark band above not there, and the thin pale streak along the bottom edge. Good overall.
